This order type helps you maximize your profit. When you are targeting a 10% profit and price keeps rising, TTP will let you take more than 10% profit.
How does it work?
Let's say your TP is at 0.0012 and your TTP offset is 2%. When TP price is reached, instead of selling, your order will be placed 2% under the TP price, and it will keep following the price if it rises. Here's an example scenario on the chart.
1 Target hit, TTP activated, placed order 2% below TP price
2-3 Price rises and TTP follows the price
4 The asset sold for a higher price than the initial target
How to create a Trailing Take-Profit order?
When creating a sell order, input your offset percentage like shown, and your sell order will become a TTP order.
What happens if TTP is reached and the price does not keep rising?
The asset will be sold for x% lower than your TP price. If you are targeting a small profit like 2% with your TP order, then you should use a small TTP offset like 1%, so that TTP will not cause you to sell in a loss instead of profit.
